Man...it was sort of embarrassing. I've never seen anything like it. Truely. Candidates for President of the United States acting like kids on the playground. It was a wonder to behold. If you're interested at all you've browsed around the various pundit sites and heard what they had to say. Generally, the conventional wisdom is that Cruz got the best of it. He looked Presidential and was dead on in his facts and challenges to Trump. Kasich was the adult in the room. He is the most experienced and would make the best President. But he can't get traction. Rubio? Spinning his wheels. He's still got a great message and is still my guy...but he can't break through. If he loses Florida, I think he's toast. Which brings us to Trump. I think he is the most surprising political entity to come along in a very long while. He can say and do what he wants and he's like a duck. It just rolls off of him. He is nasty, exhibits a good deal of prejudice, he's arrogant, he is an inch deep and a mile wide, he insults a wide variety of people, and on and on. And yet they still love him. I can understand intellectually that people are incredibly pissed off at government and so they are turning to Trump. But it's difficult to understand how otherwise intelligent people would be for him. I guess this is sort of appropriate...(hat tip to BC)
To me, he really only has one thing going for him. However, it's a very big thing. No matter how bad he would be...he'd be infinitely better than the criminal or the socialist.
